Textbooks - Medical English 1:English for Medicine: 1

Just a quick note to let you know that [at last] the abridged and edited version of Dr. Chaudrey's book English for Medicine is now available for purchase at Al Maseef in its color [although I gather, if you ask them for a [cheaper] black and white version they will be happy to produce one for you.

Cheaper black and white versions will be available at the boys college from Saturday. I will see what I can do about getting copies to buy at the women's campus.

As noted in class, the main textbook for the Communication Skills / Grammar for Communication Class will be the Powerbase [Intermediate] book used in the Practical Sessions for Medical English:1.

This will be supplimented by extra material which will be handed out in class or made available in the copy shop as the semester continues.

Textbooks: Medical English 1Medical English 1: Theoretical Classes

As noted in class, the textbook that will be used in the theoretical classes in 'Medical English 1' is a book entitled English for Medicine. The book was written by Mr. Choudhary Zahid Javid who is a lecturer in the Department of English here at Taif University.

I am currently in the process of getting together an edited version of this book so you cannot get a copy now. It should however hopefully be available next Saturday in the campus copy center.
